Two tests are commonly used:

  • Electromyography (EMG)
  • Nerve conduction studies (NCS)

One of the many treatments we offer is electrodiagnostic medicine.   EMG and NCS test muscles and nerves.

Electrodiagnostic medicine refers to diagnosing, evaluating, and treating patients whose nervous system functions have been impaired. Through electrodiagnostic testing, our doctors are able to determine what the electrical activity of a patient’s muscles and nerves are to thus determine a level of injury or damage.

The Conditions that we commonly diagnose with electrodiagnostic medicine in patients are: peripheral neuropathy, nerve complications and carpal tunnel syndrome.
